RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT PROGRAM

The Residential Treatment Program provides our clients with a 24 hour, 7 days a week, safe, homelike, therapeutic environment to practice, with support and supervision, the psychosocial skills necessary for maintenance of independent living. Each client is assigned a primary counselor upon entering WCRC to work with the client to create her Individualized Treatment Plan. The plan establishes specific, measurable goals targeting behaviors which encourage independence and responsibility. This program provides supervised housing, intensive counseling, group and individual therapy, educational services, recreational and physical development, savings and finance services, and so much more. This program is the “backbone” of WCRC.

The program is funded by Capital Area Human Services District, East Louisiana Mental Health Systems’ Forensic Unit, Louisiana Rehabilitation Services, private pay, local foundations, civic and community organizations, private businesses, and generous individuals.
